How to: Copy and paste text from MS-DOS prompt to Windows 95 application.
Solution:
Use the MS-DOS prompt toolbar to copy the text, then paste the text to any Windows 95-compatible application.
1) Run the MS-DOS prompt from within Windows 95:
a) Click the 'Start' button to display the 'Start' menu.
b) Select 'Programs' and select 'MS-DOS Prompt'. (The 'MS-DOS Prompt' window appears.)
2) (Special Case) If MS-DOS starts in full screen mode, press ALT+ENTER to switch to window mode.

3) Click 'Mark' on the toolbar and select the text to be copied.
NOTE: If the toolbar is not visible, click the 'MS-DOS Prompt' icon at the top left corner of the 'MS-DOS Prompt' window, and select 'Toolbar' to activate the toolbar.
4) Click 'Copy'.
5) Click the 'MS-DOS' icon at the top left corner of the 'MS-DOS Prompt' window. (A menu appears.)
6) Select 'Close' to close the 'MS-DOS Prompt' window.
7) Open any Windows 95-compatible application:
a) Click the 'Start' button to display the Windows 'Start' menu.
b) Select 'Programs' and select an application. (The '<application>' window opens.)
8) Click the desired location in the application document.
9) Select the 'Edit' menu and select 'Paste'.
